Chompoo: Lost & Forgotten

In the documentary feature Chompoo: Lost & Forgotten, an innocent child’s disappearance sends shockwaves through a quiet rural Thai community, reverberating across the country. As it becomes one of the most reported cases in Thailand, it's not Chompoo's parents in the spotlight but her uncle – Chaiphol Whipha, otherwise known as Uncle Phol - who draws the attention. This documentary explores how a police probe in rural Thailand spiraled into a news spectacle, where a suspect becomes a celebrity.
