Beach House Pictures has been in business with Chinese platforms and producers for two decades and established a permanent production office in Beijing in 2016, now headed by General Manager Felix Feng. In the early years, BHP China focused on China to the World co-productions with partners such as CICC, CCTV, Nat Geo and Discovery, distributing made in China non-scripted content globally. It has since expanded to add premium original documentaries made for Chinese audiences and streamers such as Tencent, Bilibili and Youku. Over this time, BHP China has created some of the country’s most high profile and successful non-scripted shows in China, including CHINA FROM ABOVE Seasons 1 & 2 – one of China’s most watched documentary series on Tencent with over 200 million views; ED STAFFORD: FIRST MAN OUT 2 & 3– China’s first survivalist competition series on Bilibili that attracted over 40 million views in the first weeks of its premier, a record viewership for the platform; and currently embarking on a feature length documentary co-production with IMAX and CCICD for theatrical release in China and internationally. Beach House Pictures’ multi award winning post-production business Space Lion Studios is Southeast Asia’s first 8K-ready premium longform post-production facility that offers the very latest in Dolby Vision® HDR Grading and Dolby Atmos® 9.1.4 Near Field Audio Mixing. Its resident team of world-class editors, designers, colourists and audio engineers are supported by a curated team of freelance talents from across Asia and the world, making it an agile facility that can scale up rapidly. Space Lion’s state-of-the-art facility has biometric entry access control, full CCTV coverage and dual layer access to key installations including a Server Room, Vault and Facilities Room. At the facility’s core is over 1 petabyte of centralized server storage connecting all suites at 10 Gbps.

Beach House Pictures acquired a majority stake in Singapore-based Momo Film Co in 2021 to expand its scripted output and extend its reach across Southeast Asia. Founded in 2018 by Tan Si En and Kris Ong, Momo has grown exponentially and is now recognised as one of Southeast Asia's leading producers of scripted content.
