SINGAPORE, 29th November 2018 – Beach House Pictures and Singapore Polytechnic collaborates to upskill Singapore’s future content creators for TV and digital media
Beach House Pictures, a Blue Ant Media company and one of Asia’s largest independent production companies, today signed a collaboration agreement with Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to create and deliver seven new courses at three different skill levels as part of Singapore’s Continuing Education & Training (CET) Masterplan.
The courses will cover various aspects such as Storytelling for Reality Series, Factual Content and Children’s Entertainment at basic, intermediate and advanced levels. They are designed to teach key skills including:
Conceptualising, developing and pitching original ideas and stories
Applying the art and craft of storytelling
Producing for TV and digital media platforms
The courses, which are set to launch in the first half of 2019, will be co-developed by Beach House Academy and SP’s Media, Arts & Design School, a newly formed cluster of eight diplomas, including the Diploma in Creative Writing for TV & New Media.

Andrew Holland, Executive Producer of ‘Masterchef Singapore’ and ‘Cesar’s Recruit Asia’, and Australian Producer for ‘The X Factor’, ‘The Biggest Loser’ and ‘The Voice’ in Australia will teach Storytelling for Reality Series.
Kath Liptrott, Executive Producer of ‘Raffles: Remaking An Icon’, ‘Come On In’ and Series Producer for ‘Art of Craft’ will teach Storytelling for Factual Content.
Susan Oliver, Head of Kids and Executive Producer of ‘Teddies’ and ‘Hiccup & Sneeze’, will teach Storytelling for Children’s Entertainment.
