Beach House Academy Launches Beach House Workshop 2018

Singapore, November 7th 2018 – Beach House Academy launches Beach House Workshop 2018 featuring over 50 speakers from brands, broadcasters and OTT platforms across Southeast Asia.

Beach House Academy is a division of Beach House Pictures set up in 2016 to provide training and skills upgrading to promote a capable, creative and professional Singapore.

The culmination of the Academy’s efforts is the annual Beach House Workshop supported by the IMDA and Workforce Singapore as part of the Singapore Media Festival, as well as Platinum Sponsors Canon and Tubular Labs, and Gold Sponsor Cathay Photo.

This year’s theme is ‘The New Age of Content – Creativity, Data, Brands & Innovation’, and will feature representatives from across the industry including A&E Networks, Coconuts Media, Discovery, HBO Asia, Hepmil Media Group, iFlix, Mediacorp, Motion Content Group, Viddsee and VIU amongst others.

The event will be a compelling mix of workshops, screenings, breakout sessions and panel discussions including an OTT Commissioners Super Panel.  Head of Academy Paul Stevens says:

“The media industry is at the forefront of digital transformation with new innovations upending conventions everywhere from the production process to the viewer experience.  We want Singapore to be at vanguard of that innovation and that is why we invite the entire industry to join us at the workshop to learn, share and network with those driving digital transformation here.”

Beach House Workshop 2018 is particularly excited to welcome SUI Min Lim, Head of Production, Double Vision/Vision New Media to keynote and present a special screening of the first episode of The Bridge, the HBO/VIU co-production that she recently Executive Produced.

The workshop will be held on 3rd & 4th December at SCAPE*, Singapore’s municipal media facility that supports youth, talent and leadership development.

Last year’s workshop saw more than 350 attendees from across the media industry benefit from the knowledge and experience of industry experts as you can see in this highlights video  We expect this year to be even bigger and better.
