Beach House Pictures scores first for Asia

Singapore – Multi-award winning prod-co Beach House Pictures (BHP) has again proven itself an industry leader, being the first Asia-based content maker to secure a spot in television’s Global 100 list.

Organised by leading trade publication Realscreen, the Global 100 is an annual list of production companies, recognised for producing consistently high quality international television content.

First published in 2006, this is the first time a production company from Asia has met the criteria to stand alongside content makers spanning more than seven territories, including the U.S, Canada, UK, France and Australia.

BHP’s Managing Director Jocelyn Little, says this international recognition is a true vindication of the company’s hard work and talent for storytelling.

“It’s a tremendous accolade that puts us even more firmly on the map with clients and partners worldwide. A win not just for our group of companies and Singapore, but also for Asia.”

Commenting on the achievement, Angeline Poh, Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Industry Group), of Singapore’s Media Development Authority, says it is proud of BHP’s achievements and hopes that this recognition inspires others in the industry to continue in their pursuit of producing compelling content.

“Ultimately, our aspiration is for Singapore’s producers to be the partners of choice for international projects, winning over audiences from around the world.”

BHP, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, has produced close to 600 hours of content, across various genres, for broadcasters the world over. Clients include Nat Geo International, ABC Australia, Discovery Networks International, BBC, ZooMoo Networks and Fox International Channels. The third episode of its acclaimed series Wild City, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, will debut on Channel News Asia on March 30.

The full Global 100 list is featured in the March/April issue of Realscreen.
