Singapore, 14 November 2014 – Beach House Pictures (BHP) has scored a mammoth 10 nominations for this year’s Asian Television Awards. This is the highest number of nominations from any single production house in the region.
The results, announced today by the event organiser Contineo Media, shows the award winning Singapore-based producer has nods for five programs, spread across nine categories.
A finalist in four categories, Hidden Cities Extreme 2, developed and produced for A+E Networks’ History Asia has the most number of nominations: Best Entertainment Series; Best Lifestyle Series; Best Presenter; and Best Direction.
Following close behind is wildlife series Kakadu, co-produced with Northern Pictures for ABC Australia, which received three nominations.
Triple Rainbow Award winner Kids vs. Film made for Discovery Kids Asia is a finalist for best children’s program. And fellow award-winner Himalayan Tsunami is up for Best Documentary Special.
John Han, Dominic Egan and Christian Bruno are collectively up for Best Cinematography for BHP’s Chineseness – Li Chen, produced for Discovery Channel Asia-Pacific.
