Shot over a year, Kakadu is a stunning reveal of the exhilarating seasonal changes, amazing wildlife and adventures of a small group of outback rangers protecting and policing Kakadu National Park, Australia’s Serengeti. At 20,000 sq km, Kakadu is a sanctuary for countless endemic species and an essential breeding ground for millions of migratory birds; a pristine wilderness the size of Switzerland that include the world’s largest electrical storms. It’s also the heartland of the world’s last living dinosaur, the deadly saltwater crocodile. Aboriginal traditional owners continue to live and hunt here, following in the footsteps of their ancestors in a tradition that dates back over 40,000 years, fighting to save the land and their culture. Incredibly, only a small group of 70 highly trained rangers govern and provide a rescue service in this renowned world heritage area.
